Laura

Laura is enjoying the second chapter of her life, or maybe it’s the third or fourth. After a thirty-one year career as a landscape architect and managing principal with DHM Design, a Colorado based landscape architecture and planning firm, Laura is exploring what’s possible, now. People often ask her, how’s retirement? Retirement from the corporate world is great; she sleeps well at night with less worry. But she still has plenty to do and give and learn and share, and she relishes the time to do all of that and more.

It’s hard to put Laura in a box. She has all of the skills that made her a successful business woman: a strategic thinker, innate leader, emotional intelligence, financial acumen, and a way with people. The left brain balanced with the right; Laura moves from her intuition with an ability to create and envision beautiful places and spaces, and to express herself through writing and painting. She thinks of herself as a bee pollinator, helping things to grow and flourish, a problem solver, a design generator, a life-long learner. The garden is her home, and she’s most at peace with a big view. She’s a spiritual seeker, grounded in her quiet ways, ready for the next adventure.

So, what’s ahead? Laura is pursuing a variety of offerings:

  • as a labyrinth facilitator with walks for groups or individuals, workshops, collaborations, events and retreats, and in the design and construction of temporary and permanent labyrinths

  • as a consultant assisting corporations, non-profits and individuals with leadership development, strategic planning, and enhancement of office culture

  • as a landscape architect exploring the landscape and the garden as a place of healing and wellness.

She looks forward to hearing from you to explore all that is possible.
